Not found the roundtable you're looking for?

If you've not found a roundtable event that you're looking for, fill out and we'll be in touch to let you know about all of our upcoming events.

How do they work?

Every roundtable has an assigned chair to help steer the conversation and make sure everyone gets involved. You’ll have the chance to ask your own questions, and the chair will also bring a few group questions to keep the discussion flowing. No question is more important than another – it’s all about sharing experiences and learning from each other.

If you’d like the chair to raise a question on your behalf, email us at marketing@hireful.co.uk. We also welcome spontaneous questions during the event – the best conversations often happen in the moment!

To make the most of the session, review the discussion topics in advance and think about what insights or experiences you can share.

The event I want to attend is fully booked, what should I do?

We limit the number of participants for each group to ensure the sessions are highly interactive. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can't book on, then you can register for the reserve list and get notified if someone else drops out.

How much does this cost?

All our recruiter roundtable events are free to attend. We only ask that if you register for an event, you let us know if you can't attend so we can free up this space for someone on the reserve list.

Is my background suitable to join these events? Who will be in my roundtable?

We want to ensure these groups add real value to the attendees. So, we vet all registrations to ensure that you are joining a discussion with UK-based experienced in-house recruiters (or HR professionals who recruit).

Most of the groups focus on a specific industry; this ensures that the conversations can be as relevant and valuable as possible. However, as we can't provide an industry-focused group for every interested recruiter, we also have a general group with recruiters from a wide range of industries who get together to share ideas and answer each other's questions.

Is this also a chance to expand my network?

Yes, after each event we send a summary of what was discussed and a list of delegates with LinkedIn profile details. Most of our delegates use these events as a good way to build out their network of recruiters working in similar roles/industries.

Do I have to attend a minimum number of events?

No. We understand the working week of a recruiter can change with short notice, so you are not committing to attending a certain number of events. You only have to let us know if for any reason you can't attend an event you're registered for.

What subjects do you cover?

We cover a wide range of recruitment related subjects. Often subjects are based on surveys of delegates or delegate suggestions based on challenges they are currently facing.

What about confidentiality?

We want all our delegates to feel comfortable sharing their insights. This is why we work to, Chatham House Rules and we also provide a full list of delegates who are attending each event in advance.

A summary of the key talking points is then generated after the meeting and shared only with attendees, so you can look to turn these ideas into action.

Are the sessions recorded?

No, the sessions are live-only events. To benefit from the event, you have to attend and contribute.

What if I'm currently not employed?

We don’t want to exclude experienced recruiters from attending just because they are not currently employed. So, register your interest and sign up for any events and share your past experiences with the group.

Who chairs these events?

The chair of the meeting is a key role to ensure that the meeting runs smoothly and everyone gets a chance to ask questions and share insights.

Most of these events are chaired by Ben Beveridge, who is our Head of Recruitment Success. Ben is a highly experienced recruiter with both in-house and agency-side experience. Unlike most other hireful events, the chair’s role is not to provide our own ideas and opinions; it is to foster a valuable conversation between the group.

Sounds good. How do I sign up?

To register your interest so you can be alerted to new events, just complete this short form.
